The project is designed to reduce the institutional image of large care facilities, creating a warmer, more domestic environment for older people. With 157 places and 9 household units, the building combines operational efficiency with a person-centred care approach. Outdoor spaces, natural light and protected terraces play a key role in helping residents enjoy the Mediterranean climate in a safe and comfortable way.
The care home in Mallorca incorporates local materials and architectural references, including Mallorcan marès stone and traditional wooden shutters. These elements connect the building with the island’s Mediterranean identity, giving the project a warmer, more familiar character while paying tribute to the local culture and heritage.
